Coping mechanism

From the outside, when someone confronts a situation by closing their face to the situation appears silly. Still, it usually happens with each person more than they would like to admit. This artwork acknowledges the validity of this mechanism.

It puts the shoe on the other foot when the confronted situation is the viewer. It was made from soil and oil and comes on a 62x42cm stretched canvas.
